Description:

Aprotinin은 소 폐 조직에서 유래한 천연 serine protease inhibitor로, 단백질 분해효소를 억제하는 기능을 가진다. Aprotinin은 trypsin, chymotrypsin, Factor XII, plasmin, kallikrein을 억제하며, 이들 효소는 fibrinolysis(섬유소 용해) 과정과 관련되어 있다. 반면, Factor Xa, thrombin, pepsin과 같은 일부 protease는 aprotinin의 영향을 받지 않는다.

Aprotinin은 열과 산에 안정적인 특성을 가지지만, pH 10 초과 또는 pH 3 미만에서는 대부분의 aprotinin-protease 복합체가 해리된다. 효과적인 억제 농도는 표적 protease와 equimolar concentration이다.

Aprotinin은 혈액 응고 조절 및 fibrinolysis 억제와 관련된 연구에 사용되며, 혈소판 수 보존, 장기 이식 시 장기 보호, 수혈 기능 유지에 활용된다.
